New Business Development Manager appointed - Emirates Old Trafford

EMIRATES OLD Trafford has appointed Callum Baxter as the venue’s new Business Development Manager.

Baxter, 29, arrived at the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club in February from the Manchester city centre based National Football Museum where he was responsible for bringing in major events, securing corporate partners and sponsors, and also project managing English football’s renowned Hall of Fame awards.

He will be responsible for attracting new business to Emirates Old Trafford as the venue looks to expand its hugely successful conference and events business.

Callum said: “I’ve had a fantastic month at Emirates Old Trafford so far and it’s been great to immerse myself in the business right away.

“Emirates Old Trafford has a reputation for delivering inspirational meetings and events in the finest and flexible space, fully supported by in-house services including dedicated event duty managers, IT support and expertise, local and international catering and an experienced and dedicated event co-ordination team. The Point really is a blank canvas to inspire creativity.

“It’s a great place to host large scale conferences from five to 2,000 people as well as intimate executive meetings, exhibitions and very spectacular dinners,  and with the brand new 150-bedroom four-star Hilton Garden Inn due to open on site in the summer of 2017 it’s a really exciting time to be at the venue.”

Baxter, who hails from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, reports directly to the venue’s Head of Sales, Michele Somers.
