Emirates Old Trafford welcomes The Vamps for a book signing session

Emirates Old Trafford was delighted to welcome world famous British pop-rock band, The Vamps, for a book signing session in The Point last week.

Over 800 fans were given the opportunity to meet the band and have their books signed by the boy group, consisting of Brad Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans, who were signed to Mercury Records in 2012 after first releasing music videos on YouTube.

The band known for playing and writing their own songs have no less than four sell-out shows at London's O2 Arena under their belt, and since forming in 2012, they have travelled the world on massive arena tours, sold hundreds of thousands of records and gained legions of devoted fans. They have gone from schoolboys to superstardom and for the first time Brad, James, Connor and Tristan tell their story in a new book.

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive at Lancashire County Cricket Club said, “We were delighted to welcome The Vamps and WH Smith for their book signing session with a lucky selection of fans who had a thoroughly enjoyable day meeting their idols here at Emirates Old Trafford.

“The Point at Emirates Old Trafford has become firmly established as the go-to venue for a wide range of conferences and events in the North West and has recently hosted the X Factor and The Voice auditions this summer.”

The Vamps said ahead of their book release, "We are so excited to be releasing our first book this year with Headline. It's going to be full of stories and photos we've never shared before, and we can't wait for our fans to read it!."

The book is available on Amazon and will tell the story of their journey as a band and will also include some exclusive behind-the-scenes photography of the band.

Sharon Taylor, Event Manager at WHSmith commented, “We were extremely pleased with the way our event went at Emirates Old Trafford. From the outset their staff were a pleasure to work with, accommodating our needs and timescale. We will not hesitate to use them in the future.”
